Five K Computers, Inc. announces to all business clients that Microsoft is discontinuing their support of the Windows 98 and Windows ME operating system softwares at mid-year in 2004. MS began to charge $35 per incident for service on software issues for these two system softwares in 2003. Five K is recommending upgrading to Window XP for all business clients. The Five K recommendation is based upon a position that individual business data security may be compromised without the on-going support from Microsoft to address discovered weaknesses in the operating system software.
